WHITE CUT

When looking at an image, one will tend to interpret its content: the body, the stone, the color of a dress, every element shown will imply meanings on the image.
I wanted to occult these meanings and bring the focus on the form. By cutting the subject out of the image a form would appear. A form that marked the silhouette and emphasized the volume of the disappeared subject. For the exhibition I have been reflecting on the sculptural possibilities and the spatiality of the image. The outcome of this reflection is a sculpture and the indissociable relation between the image and the sculpture.
